Christian Wallraven received a Ph.D. degree in Physics from the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in 2007 for work on a perceptually-motivated computer vision system. He then moved to Korea University in 2010, where he is currently a Full Professor affiliated with the departments of Artificial Intelligence and Brain and Cognitive Engineering. He is PI of the Cognitive Systems Lab with research focusing on understanding and modeling perceptual processes, sensory integration, and decision-making in both humans and machines. His recent work centers on explainable AI methods and fully immersive, multimodal virtual environments for realistic, next-level neuroscience experiments. Christian Wallraven has co-authored over 200 publications with an interdisciplinary approach integrating cognitive neuroscience, immersive computer graphics, and innovative artificial intelligence methods.
